Al-Taj News – Lamine Yamal scored twice and Raphinha continued his scoring streak as Barcelona thrashed hosts Valencia 5-0 to move clear at the top of La Liga on Sunday.
Barcelona, with their new star Rodri making his first start, wasted no time and brilliantly broke the deadlock through Lamine Yamal after just six minutes, before Fermin Lopez added the second goal in the 22nd minute.
In the second half, Raphinha scored his sixth goal in four matches for Barcelona, before Pedri added the fourth and Lamine completed the five-goal rout in the closing moments.
The match also saw the debut of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, Barcelona’s new signing who joined from English club Arsenal last week.
Barcelona moved to 15 points from five matches, three points ahead of traditional rivals Real Madrid, who suffered a surprise defeat to Real Betis on Friday.
